How I Can Help
Screenings
Screenings are used to identify potential deficits in speech and language development. This brief process typically takes 15-20 minutes. After the screening, results are reviewed and recommendations will be provided. If the results of the screening indicate that further assessment is needed, an appointment will be scheduled at this time. All screenings are free of charge.
Assessments
Speech and language evaluation is a comprehensive process that will provide detailed answers about any communication concerns you may have. This usually takes between 60-90 minutes to complete. Your child’s communicative strengths and weaknesses will be reviewed with you and a formal report will be written. You will be provided with personalized therapy goals and recommendations for increasing communication.
Individual Therapy
Therapy sessions are held in 30 increments and will target the specific goals designed to increase your child’s communication needs. A variety of evidence-based therapy tools are utilized to address every stage of speech and language development. Individual therapy sessions are held in-home or virtually.
Friendship Groups
Therapist-guided group interactions allow children to practice skills learned in individual therapy while picking up new skills from peers. Friendship groups are a fun way to develop new social skills such as sharing, taking turns, waiting, understanding emotions, and trying new things. All groups are 60 minutes long and held outdoors at varied locations in Santa Rosa Beach and Freeport. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate!
